The Discovery Series is a monthly event sponsored by Nine Athens Music to bring new artists into the Passim community. Through the Discovery Series, we provide a platform to connect new artists with a music-loving audience. These artists may be brand new to the club or may have performed at our campfire. festivals, but the Discovery Series features artists in a room filled with our dedicated members.

Andrew Victor has shared bills in the U.S. and Europe with Sharon Van Etten, Lael Neale, and Damien Jurado. His new album There Are Hummingbirds was released on 8/16/24.

Based out of South Florida, Victoria Cardona is a guitarist, multi-instrumentalist one-woman band. Her unique performances are a sonic and visual experience that take the audience on a journey through the deep realms of the spontaneous composition process.
With the aid of a loop pedal she creates intricate auditory tapestries by layering segments of guitar, bass, vocal harmonies, bongos, timbales, shakers, cymbals, claves, cowbells, and smokey alto vocals that are reminiscent and often compared to Janis Joplin.
Victoria’s Cuban roots and familiarity with multicultural music genres provide the inspiration for the strong rhythmic undertone she delivers in conjunction with a harmonic counterpart that fuses elements of Jazz, Blues, Soul, Afro-Cuban, Afro-Caribbean, salsa, rock ’n’ roll and folk.
